A Summer Program for Children presented by Reynolda Gardens of Wake Forest University

Children who have completed first through fifth grades experience nature through field walks; discussions with visiting naturalists and scientists; planting activities; and nature-related projects. Space is limited; early registration recommended.

Highlights of the week:

  • Learning about plants from all over the world
  • planting and harvesting vegetables and flowers in the Children's Garden
  • preparing plants to take home
  • exploring the woods and streams of Reynolda
  • observing animal life
  • art and writing activities related to nature observations

Reynolda Gardens of Wake Forest University encompasses 129 acres including open fields, woodlands, formal gardens, and a greenhouse. The program is based in the historic Boathouse.
