Exploration and Discovery of the Natural World
A Summer Program for Children presented by Reynolda Gardens of Wake Forest University
Two one-week sessions:
June 16 through 20
June 23 through 27
From 9 a.m. until noon each day
Cost: $95

Children who have completed first through fifth grades experience nature through field walks; discussions with visiting naturalists and scientists; planting activities; and nature-related projects. Space is limited; early registration recommended.
Highlights of the week:
- Learning about plants from all over the world
- planting and harvesting vegetables and flowers in the Children's Garden
- preparing plants to take home
- exploring the woods and streams of Reynolda
- observing animal life
- art and writing activities related to nature observations
Reynolda Gardens of Wake Forest University encompasses 129 acres including open fields, woodlands, formal gardens, and a greenhouse. The program is based in the historic Boathouse.
