Wedding Policy

  • Weddings are limited to current, full-time, Wake Forest University faculty, staff, and their children. Also applies to current, full-time, Wake Forest University students.
     
  • A wedding in Reynolda Gardens is limited to a maximum of 100 people, including the wedding party.
     
  • Heavy objects may not be rolled or otherwise transported across the grounds. The use of pianos and organs (other than lightweight portable models) is prohibited.
     
  • No canopies or other structures may be used. Runners must be cloth and should be placed just before and removed immediately following the ceremony. No flowers, potted plants, or other floral decorations may be used. An exception to this is the bouquets and corsages worn by guests and members of the wedding party.
     
  • No receptions may be held.
     
  • Rental, set-up, and prompt removal of chairs are the sole responsibility of the wedding party. Reynolda Gardens does not provide chairs.
     
  • Electrical outlets are located behind the small fountain and at the lion's head fountain. Extension cords over 50 feet are not allowed.
     
  • Garden furniture (benches, etc.) may not be moved.
     
  • Parking must be in designated areas only. Guests may park in Reynolda Village.
     
  • Clean-up for weekend weddings is done on the Friday before the wedding. Please check the gardens a few hours before the wedding to see if any last minute clean-up is required. We are sorry for any inconvenience, but there are no staff members present on weekends.
     
  • The wedding party is responsible for clean-up of the grounds following the wedding. Arrangements must be made to remove trash generated by the guests or wedding party.
     
  • You may reserve one hour during the day or evening before the wedding for a rehearsal.
     
  • Reynolda Gardens does not offer an alternate location to be used in case of bad weather.
     
  • Due to our busy spring schedule, weddings may not be held from April 1 through May 15.
     
  • The fee for a wedding is $350.00. Payment is due when the reservation is made. $50.00 is nonrefundable. See cancellation policy below.
     
  • The gardens may not be reserved more than eight months in advance of the wedding date.
     
  • Cancellations must be received by Reynolda Gardens, in writing, at least two weeks prior to the wedding date for a refund.
     
  • Refunds, minus the non-refundable deposit, will also be made for cancellation due to inclement weather. Request for refund must be received in writing by Reynolda Gardens within two weeks after wedding date.
