The Greater Gardens

The former golf links are now an open field with a view of Reynolda House, Museum of American Art, the former home of Mr. and Mrs. R. J. Reynolds.

Spider lilies bloom for a short time in the woodland edge in early fall.

The wetland provides a food and resting place for a wide variety of migratory birds. See Birds of Reynolda Gardens.

Young people study scientific concepts throughout the year at Reynolda Gardens.

The hardwood forest reaches its peak of color in October. Leaf fall is completed in late November. (See: Trees of Reynolda Gardens.)

Native and non-native shrubs throughout the preserve provide food for resident wildlife and migratory birds.

The Formal Gardens

Bloom continues in the formal gardens until frost, usually late October.
