Restrictions

Call the Reynolda Gardens office for further information on restrictions and policies (336.758.5593).

Restrictions on some activities assure the continuing beauty and tranquility of the gardens, woodlands and open areas.

Throughout the Reynolda Gardens property:

  • Picnicking and athletic events are prohibited.
  • Where they are allowed, dogs must be on leads at all times, as required by ordinance of the City of Winston-Salem.
  • Do not remove flora and fauna.
  • Refrain from playing loud music.
  • Children must be closely supervised.
  • All group visits, including classes and tour groups, must be scheduled through the Reynolda Gardens office.
  • Park in designated areas only.
  • Bicycles and motorcycles are restricted to paved roadways.
  • Artists are restricted to non-oil and non-acrylic media. Paths must not be blocked by equipment.

Please also observe these additional restrictions in the formal gardens:

  • Dogs are not allowed in the formal gardens.
  • Running, jogging, and bicycling are prohibited.
  • Do not place spreads and blankets on the grass.
  • Children under twelve must be accompanied and supervised by an adult at all times.

Weddings
Faculty, staff, and students of Wake Forest University, and children of faculty and staff are eligible to hold weddings at Reynolda Gardens.

Commercial Photography
Applications must be made through the Reynolda Gardens office for any commercial photography, including portraiture.

Planning a wedding?
WFU faculty, staff and students may reserve the Gardens for wedding ceremonies.

Photography
Commercial and amateur photographers are welcome to visit the gardens. A few rules apply, however.
