-Photography Policy

Non-commercial Photography
Individuals who are not commercial photographers and/or who will not be using the photographs for commercial purposes in any form may photograph in the gardens at any time without permission; however, they must observe the same restrictions as commercial portrait photographers concerning closure of areas and time limits.

Commercial Portrait Photography

  • The charge is $40 per session. This fee must be paid to a Reynolda Gardens staff member before the session takes place.
     
  • Reservation procedure: reservations must be made at least twenty-four hours in advance of the session; during regular office hours — between 7:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday; and must be completed with fees paid by 3:30 p.m. on Friday for a weekend session.
     
  • The time limit for a photography session is ninety minutes.
     
  • A Request for a Commercial Portrait Photography Session in Reynolda Gardens of Wake Forest University form must be completed and given to a staff member when the reservation is made and fees are paid. You must carry a copy of the policy with you during your session. Staff members regularly check the gardens and grounds during non-office hours. Please be prepared to show your copy to staff members upon request.
     
  • Scheduled groups and other previously-scheduled events take precedence over photography sessions. Areas are not closed to previously scheduled groups or to the general public during photography sessions.

Reynolda Gardens of Wake Forest University is the private property of Wake Forest University. These policies apply to all commercial portrait photographers using any area of the property at any time. Those who do not comply with this policy will be asked to leave the premises.

Other Photography

  • School and prom pictures are not allowed.
     
  • Groups, including school-related groups, must obtain permission and have a reservation to photograph in the garden.
